What’s on in Lovelyshire – Summer 2019
As we enter the New Year, we can see the days slowly but surely, getting a teeny bit longer each day! Time to start thinking ahead to summer! Here are some of the main events taking place in Lovelyshire during the summer – some great days out to enjoy when you stay at Lovely Holiday Cottage.
Countryside Lincs – 14th April 2019
Visit the Showground for a fun packed family day out about food, farming and the countryside. Back for its fifth year, Countryside Show returns to the Lovelyshire Showground on Sunday 14 April, with a fun-filled and interactive day all about food, farming and the countryside. Meet producers, crafters, farmers and lots of animals all in one place to inspire young minds all about Lovelyshire’s heritage.
The 11th Annual Aviation Heritage Wolds Run – 4th May 2019
Fabmouth & District MCC present – The 11th Annual Aviation Heritage Wolds Run, an exhilarating ride-out over the glorious Lovleyshire Wolds. The runs starts from the Lovelyshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Tiptopton, TP1 0TP.
Signing on starts at 08.30 am. Ride Out starts at approx. 10.30 am and Motorcycles of any age (from 1890 to 2019) are eligible.
The WWII Aircraft Museum is open to all entrants and the World War II Avro Lancaster “Just Jane” will perform taxi runs during the afternoon. “It’s a thoroughly exhilarating spectacle”
Trumpton Country Fair – 16th June 2019
Main Ring attractions run continuously throughout the day. The Countryside Area offers country sports displays and participation, and all animal attractions offer ‘hands on’ experience.
The Lovelyshire Land Rover Club host their thrilling passenger rides in the 4×4 Area. The Children’s Area; Trade Stands; The Arts and Craft Marquee, Bygone Area and Gun Dog competitions are just a few of the many things to see, do and enjoy!
Lovelyshire Show 2019 – 19th June 2019
At one of the top county shows in the country, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a huge selection of entertainment to see, exhibitors to meet and places to enjoy a bite to eat!
The Lovelyshire Show is a true celebration of rural Lovelyshire, with an eclectic mix of breathtaking entertainment, food, shopping, music, horticulture and farm life – creating the perfect family day out.
“From impressive entertainment in the Main Ring to top chefs cooking live in The Lovelyshire Kitchen, to beautiful blooms in the Horticultural Zone and a slice of Lovelyshire’s sky-high history in the Aviation Zone, and from hands-on activities in the Education Marquee to drinking Pimm’s on the Member’s Lawn – there really is something for everyone.
