Lovely Cottage awarded VE 4 Star Gold!

Bill & Ben purchased Lovely Cottage in 2017 with the intention of turning it into a stylish self catering holiday cottage.

With its private location on the edge of the village and having no passing traffic, wonderful views over the forest and very little (if any) light pollution from street lights, it was a perfect location to relax on holiday in rural Lovelyshire.

Bill & Ben put plans in to motion and spent the majority of 2017 & 2018 carrying out a full renovation, including an extension. The cottage was returned to bare brick, a new layout was designed and the renovation was underway!

Although this is the first holiday let that Bill & Ben have been involved in, they usually holiday in the UK, like a bit of luxury (don’t we all!) and have stayed in many Premier Cottages properties over the years. They therefore had a good idea of what makes a great cottage stay and have put their experiences of holidaying in the UK self catering cottage industry to good use.

They are very pleased with the way the cottage has turned out and delighted to be rewarded when they were assessed by Visit England and achieved a 4 Star rating – not only 4 stars, but also a Gold Award for going the extra mile with all the little trimmings that make the difference!

Bill & Ben are very proud of their achievements and the cottage, and hope that all their guests enjoy the cottage, also.

There are plans to add additional features such as a bike shelter and in the longer term, a garden games room.

But their immediate goal is to become a Premier Cottages Member – the leading and most prestigious collection of 4 Star and 5 Star self catering properties in the UK!
